DESCRIPTION

“He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” – Quoted from the Book of Micah by President Jimmy Carter at this inauguration. The Hebrew scriptures have always been part of the Executive office of the United States from George Washington to Joe Biden. There is plenty to talk about, especially from sources such as inauguration speeches. We will focus on the speeches and relationships between a handful of Presidents and their relationships with Jewish Americans ranging from Washington, Lincoln, U.S. Grant, FDR, Nixon, Reagan, Carter and Obama. Registration is required.
