We will also focus on the mourning rituals of shiva (the first 7 days of death), shloshim (the first 30 days after death) and the first year of mourning. The second session of this course will focus on Jewish ideas about the afterlife. What happens when a person dies, what happens to their soul and what awaits us in olam ha’ba – the world to come?
