This two-part series offers a unique opportunity to delve into a selection of biblical and rabbinic texts that are often overlooked or misinterpreted precisely because they question, challenge or subvert the status quo. As is our custom, we will engage these texts with an eye toward addressing the two questions that animate all of our study: “If I were to consider these texts seriously, how might they challenge my thinking? How might they influence my actions?”
