JAZZ LEGENDS IN BALTIMORE

While New Orleans can rightfully claim to be the birthplace of jazz and New York has been its international capital for much of its history, Baltimore has produced more than its fair share of jazz legends. These lecture presentations will highlight the work of such local icons as Billie Holiday, Chick Webb, Eubie Blake and Cab Calloway. Vintage recordings and video clips, as well as live musical examples from Seth Kibel, will make this presentation swing like the music created by these Baltimore icons!
