Time - 12:30 pm
End Time - 1:30 pm

DESCRIPTION

This fascinating series, created by Merle Setren, Israel Affairs Committee and Beth El member, and facilitated by Dr. Hana Bor, Rabbi Dana Saroken and master teacher, Rita Plaut, will introduce you to nine Israeli women who have been an integral part of Israel’s past and future within their chosen fields of expertise. In a part of the world where women are prevented or discouraged from participating in higher academics, sports, professions, business or security positions, women of all colors and religions continue to crack the glass ceiling wide open in Israel. Even in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish world, women are achieving breakthroughs in these categories. Women have played an important role in rebuilding Israel from the malarial swamp land of the late 1800s into the thriving modern democracy of the 21st century. Together we will see who some of these exemplary women are and get to know them better.
