DESCRIPTION

Join us as we delve into the fascinating realm of Jewish demonology, exploring the rich tapestry of beliefs, myths and cultural interpretations surrounding demons in Jewish tradition. From the ancient texts of the Tanakh, the Talmud and Kabbalah, to contemporary reflections, we will embark on a journey through centuries of Jewish thought, examining the diverse manifestations of demons and their significance within Jewish theology, folklore and literature. We will also explore the cultural and historical contexts that shaped Jewish perceptions of demons and examine how demonology has been used to explain suffering, moral dilemmas and the presence of evil in the world. Amulets have been made to help ward off demons. In our final class, we will each have the opportunity to make a small curse bowl to help protect us from evil forces. We look forward to learning with you!
