Using interactive, communicative teaching methods, this class will have you understanding and responding in Yiddish from day one. You will learn greetings, how to give basic information about yourself and your family and some action verbs that will get you moving. The course includes an introduction to reading in Yiddish and some Yiddish songs. Knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet is helpful but not required.
