1stWednesdays @ Beth El Presents: Shades of Blue Orchestra

Garnering wide acclaim in the mid-Atlantic region, the Shades of Blue Orchestra has endured as one of the finest variety Big Bands in the area. Founded over four decades ago, this Baltimore-based group has sustained long-term momentum by featuring outstanding instrumentalists and some of the finest vocalists in the mid-Atlantic area. Mixing together popular standards, a variety of musical styles, and dance-able rhythms, this dynamic Big Band produces a combination that never goes out of style. The Orchestra is conducted by Michael A. Walker, a military-trained musician of the Armed Forces School of Music and former member of the 229th Maryland Army National Guard Band.
