MOSES IN SCULPTURE AND PAINTING BY THE EUROPEAN OLD MASTERS

Beginning with the synagogue at Dura-Europos, we follow the evolution of portrayals of Moses both as a single figure and in stories. Among the major artists who portrayed Moses are Michelangelo, Botticelli, Rembrandt, Tintoretto, and Claus Sluter.
