DESCRIPTION

Going back to the 1950’s, this presentation will highlight “I Love Lucy” and “The Honeymooners.” It will cover the history of the stars, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, William Frawley, Vivian Vance, Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph. Learn the story of the show’s creation and the important technical and management innovation of the shows, especially I Love Lucy. Videos of several classic scenes will bring back many memories of these beloved shows.

Dr. John Anderson is a member of the Academy at Johns Hopkins. As a clinical nephrologist, he practiced at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he did home peritoneal dialysis and geriatric peritoneal dialysis.

The Rabbi Mark G. Loeb Center for Lifelong Learning at Beth El Congregation and The Academy at Johns Hopkins announce a Community Collaboration for Sharing Knowledge and Learning. The Academy consists of retired faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, who will share their expertise and experience through programs to be offered through the Center for Lifelong Learning at Beth El.
