Are you looking to feel better and improve your movements? You can improve balance, coordination and flexibility, build better habits and develop new awareness for your potential. To set the mood, class will begin with Jewish text study orienting ourselves toward bringing in Shabbat. Then we will do a Feldenkrais® group lesson, Awareness Through Movement® where you will be led through a carefully structured lesson with exploratory sequences. You use slow, gentle and intentional movements to improve strength, balance and flexibility. The method was invented by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and was motivated to heal a knee injury so he combined his knowledge in biomechanics, physics, martial arts and his scientific understanding of human development to create a method to help himself and others heal from pain, move better and rework movement patterns that were constricted by habits. Today, there are thousands of Feldenkrais practitioners around the world who teach Feldenkrais lessons to those of all ages and movement abilities.
